Native to California and Oregon. Low-growing evening-primrose (Onagraceae) in grassland habitat at Fort Ord. Distinctive rosette oval to lanceolate leaves with obvious pale central veins. Four bright lemon-yellow petals on flowers. Note the globe-shaped stigma on central style.Synonyms
