Only member of genus. First encountered in Colombia in June 2023. Our first sightings were at the Santa Marta Airport, followed by many others in open country, including catching insects by lights at night. Recalls <em>Tyrannus</em> like Tropical Kingbird, but hunts in open country, often on the ground. Vocalizations recall Horned Lark to my ears.
